They share many practical cultural practices as the other Maa Speakers (Samburu, Maasai)

The Aembu are settled on the slopes of Mount Kenya which is a huge tourist attraction, luring tourists for expeditions each year. The other natural sites found among the Aembu is the ancient Aembu caves known as 'Ngurungaya Ngai'

Swahili architecture is still evident in the coastal areas in places such as old Town, Gede Ruins, and Lamu. Modern buildings in the Coast have borrowed from this traditional Swahili style
