Isaak

• Main traders when the Europeans reached the East African port. They acted as guides and translators for the British people

Kisii

• They are known for soapstone carvings, basketry and pottery. The stone is mined and carved in Tabaka, South Mugirango, where several families specialize in this art. The craft attracts tourists and generates income for the community.
• The kisii are known for their farming  of bananas which are traced to their areas
• The favorite instrument among the Kisii is the obokhano (lyre) in their traditional music

Kamba

• The Akamba people are known for their love of music and dance traced from the traditional dance.
