Invest in Africa Expo and Business Conference 2026

The Invest in Africa Expo and Business Conference 2026 will take place from 28th to 30th May 2026 in Swakopmund, Namibia, at the Swakopmund CBD Tennis Court Area. This premier, multi-sectoral exhibition focuses on intra-African trade, investment promotion, and cross-border business networking, providing a valuable platform for international and local investors, exporters, and entrepreneurs to engage with the dynamic Namibian and wider SADC market.

The Kenyan Embassy in Windhoek invites interested and eligible exporters to apply and participate in this upcoming event. Returning to Swakopmund’s coastal CBD, the Expo continues to reaffirm its role as a key regional platform for trade promotion, investment matchmaking, and business development across the African continent. The 2026 edition will be hosted in the heart of the Erongo Region, offering participants a strategic entry point into Southern Africa.

Namibia presents a compelling investment destination in 2026, with GDP growth projected at approximately 3.8%, driven by recoveries in key sectors such as mining, construction, energy, and agriculture, alongside sustained growth in services. Ranked 4th in Sub-Saharan Africa for trade and economic openness (Fitch Ratings), Namibia is emerging as a strategic gateway to the SADC region, supported by world-class infrastructure, including the deep-water port at Walvis Bay.

The Expo serves as a platform for connecting African businesses with regional and international partners. It aims to promote investment across Namibia’s high-growth sectors, including mining, green hydrogen, renewable energy, tourism, and agro-processing; facilitate B2B and B2G engagements between Kenyan exporters and Namibian and SADC partners; expand market access for Kenyan products and services within the SADC region; advance the goals of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) through practical intra-African trade linkages; and support Kenyan SMEs and entrepreneurs in accessing new export opportunities within a stable and business-friendly environment.

The exhibition will showcase a wide range of sectors, including agriculture and agro-processing (value-added products and services); mining, minerals, and energy (including critical minerals, uranium, green hydrogen, and renewables); construction and infrastructure development; information and communication technologies (ICT); manufacturing and value-added industries; tourism, hospitality, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events); trade logistics, transport, and port services (including the Walvis Bay Corridor); and professional and entrepreneurial development.

Namibia offers a strong value proposition for Kenyan exporters and investors seeking to expand into Southern Africa. It serves as a strategic gateway to SADC markets through the Port of Walvis Bay, one of the region’s most efficient deep-water ports. Both Kenya and Namibia are signatories to the African Continental Free Trade Area, enabling preferential trade terms and reduced tariff barriers. The country also boasts a stable investment climate, supported by a strong legal framework, an independent judiciary, and robust investor protections. In addition, Namibia is emerging as an energy hub, with offshore oil and gas discoveries and large-scale green hydrogen projects attracting significant foreign direct investment. Coupled with a relatively high GDP per capita and a young, growing population, the country presents an expanding consumer market for Kenyan goods and services.

Exhibitors and delegates may participate through shared national pavilions, stand-alone or custom-built exhibition stands, open space booths, or as business conference delegates attending seminars and networking sessions. Participation fees will vary depending on the selected format and tier, and early registration is strongly encouraged due to limited space.

Interested exporters are encouraged to register early and contact the Kenyan Embassy in Windhoek or the relevant trade promotion body for the official application form and logistical support.
