Kenya and United Kingdom (UK) enjoy cordial relations, with the UK being one of Kenya’s major trade partners. Some of the Kenya’s main/top export products to the UK market include cut flowers, tea, coffee, spices, assorted fruits, and vegetables among others. The Kenya- UK Economic Partnership Agreement provides preferential market access to additional sectors/value chains that the country can take advantage of and explore for export development and promotion. One of the sectors include: handcrafted products. To sensitize existing and potential exporters on available opportunities in the UK market for fashion and handcrafted products, the Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency, in collaboration with the Kenya High Commission, United Kingdom and Hyve Group have organized a webinar to be held on 20th March 2024.
Hyve Group is a global event organiser based in London, organizing over 52 exhibitions globally across several industry sectors. They work closely with international trade associations that support their respective countries exporters to help connect with and increase the representation of their regions at the events and to enhance business-to-business linkages.
The Webinar shall explore how Kenyan producers can leverage on the Source Home & Gift and Source Fashion events to enter the UK market and shall also highlight the shifting consumer preferences as well as the opportunities this portends for Kenyan producers.
